It’s no secret that sports team coaches have a lot to deal with during the entire season (and even after! 😅).
There’s the registration period which requires a lot of investment and energy, the formation of the teams and before we know it, it’s time to prepare the first practices.
Coaches spend a lot of time preparing training strategies based on the number of players attending a practice or game.
Unfortunately, it’s very common for them to arrive well prepared for a practice only to find out there are several players missing.
This situation is very distressing for the coach, but also for all the other teammates, because if too many players are missing, the game plan must be revised quickly.
With its “My availabilities” function, MonClubSportif has created a solution that addresses this problem, too often encountered by members of a sports association.
That’s right, an app that allows you to manage attendance at a practice!(🤩)
How does it work?
MonClubSportif has implemented this feature to indicate its presence at a sporting event in the simplest way possible.
For coaches:
First, a coach can go to their team settings to designate a deadline for sending the attendance form to an event.
They will be able to choose if they want to send the attendance management form to all the players of their team 24, 48 or even 72 hours before an event.
It’s up to them, they’re the BOSS!
The coach can also prevent players from modifying their attendance within 24 hours of the event. Here too, it can be 24, 48, 60 hours even!
How much time will I save with this feature?
If you calculate all the time wasted waiting after all players to confirm an event without the app, we would be here all night!
This feature allows coaches to plan their practice based on their availability and knowing exactly how many players will be there.
They can adapt their drills and avoid having to review the entire practice once they get on the field.
That’s worth a lot to a coach.
For players:
On the other end, players receive a notification before an event, which allows them to fill out the attendance form. The first step is to log into their account and click on the tab: “My Availabilities”.
The availability options are simple:
- Gray question mark = You haven’t responded yet
- Box with green check mark = Present
- Box with small blue question mark = Unsure
- Boxed with red “x” = Not present
It’s as simple as that 😉
You don’t even have to call your coach! (Unless the response time of the form is over, then you’ll need to speak to your coach directly)
You can access all the event details directly from this tab and leave comments for your coach.
After determining your attendance status, you can fill out the COVID-19 form without even changing tabs.
This survey makes sure that all players present at an event are free of COVID-19 symptoms, and can play their sport safely!
Once answered, the form is automatically sent to the coach, who can keep a record of the results received and follow up with Public Health.
We calculated that it took a good 3 minutes to do all this! ⏲
For a coach, they probably just saved 1 extra hour in their week by not having to call each player to ask them the questions recommended by Public Health.
